‘Online requests explained‘ – short video:
I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT/I HAVE A MEDICATION PROBLEM/I AM WORRIED ABOUT MY HEALTH:
From 17.07.25 (17th July 2025) we are updating/have updated our booking system for appointments, to make things better and less waiting first thing in the morning, especially on the phones.
Why are we doing this? Well, this means you don’t have to rush to call us or queue outside the Doctor’s surgery at 08:00am, which is good news for everyone!
If you are unwell, or if you have been asked to book an appointment, or if you have a question that is about anything medical, you should fill out a form online (To submit an online triage form, click here).
You will be able to do this from 08:00am-12:00pm* and then from 13:00pm* onwards, Mon-Fri, excluding bank holidays, or until we have reached our capacity (limit) for that day. Once capacity is reached you will need to fill out a form the next working day. A message will tell you when we cannot take any more forms, that looks like this:

*We stop you from sending forms from 12:00pm-13:00pm each day to catch up & allow for the afternoon staff to start working.
I CAN’T USE THE ONLINE FORMS:
If you are unable to fill out a form, for whatever reason, do not worry, you can still call us or come into the surgery, and if we still have capacity we will fill one out for you!
Remember, we are here to help all patients & their needs. We don’t want anyone to feel that we can’t help you if you struggle to do things online.
But, if you can fill one out, please do, as we can then keep the phone lines free for people who are not able to, and there will be less of a queue at the front desk, making it easier for everyone, especially at 08:00am when we open.
I DON’T NEED AN APPOINTMENT, IT’S FOR SOMETHING ELSE:
You can send us a message about anything administration related (not about a new or ongoing health problem) all day when we are open.
This might be about your medication, needing a letter or anything else that might not need an appointment. To do this just click on the ‘I have an admin query‘ box, which looks like this:

If you want to find out some test results or perhaps order repeat medication, you could always download the NHS app to your smartphone/mobile phone and sign up if you haven’t already done so. This might mean you do not need to contact us at all! It’s easy to use and you can find out more information here: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app
Our Health Navigation team can also support you in using the NHS App, just ask at the main desk. Be aware that they may arrange a more suitable time to support you if it is busy when you arrive.
CONSIDER GETTING THE NHS APP TO CHECK FOR ANY RESULTS OR DOCUMENTS YOU MIGHT NEED:
