Online requests explained‘ – short video:

I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:

If you have an urgent problem and need to speak to us, please call us or come into the surgery, do not wait to send a form online.

However, If you want to book a routine (something that is not urgent) appointment with a Doctor, Nurse or with anyone else, please read the below and then click here: To submit an online triage form, click here

Our team will get back to you within 2 working days (does not include weekends or bank holidays).  This might be on the phone (us calling you), by text (a message sent your phone which might have information for you), via the NHS App as a notification (usually says you have a message from your GP surgery) or by using email, depending on what you need and how you want to hear from us.

Your message/phone call may come from a clinical person (such as a Doctor, Paramedic Practitioner or Nurse), this might be to offer you an appointment, recommend a more suitable service such as a local pharmacy or simple advice to get you better. You may also hear from another person who is not clinical to ask further questions, request photos or point you towards the best service for your needs, such as a pharmacy, which may be more suitable & convenient for you.

Please note that our Health Navigation team (Receptionists) follow clear guidance set by clinical staff and may contact you on their behalf to offer support and next steps.

I CAN’T SEE THAT OPTION TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:

Once we have reached capacity for the day (no more appointments) it will not allow you to contact us to ask for an appointment using that link.  You can try again from 08:00am on the next working day (does not include weekends or bank holidays).  When we have run out of appointments the screen will say this:

Remember – If you have an urgent problem and need to speak to us please call us or come into the surgery, do not wait to send a form online.

I DON’T NEED AN APPOINTMENT, IT’S FOR SOMETHING ELSE:

You can send us a message about anything administration related all day when we are open.  This might be about your medication, needing a letter or anything else that might not need an appointment.  To do this just click on the ‘I have an admin query’ box, which looks like this:

If you want to find out some test results or order medication, you could always download the NHS app to your smartphone/mobile phone and sign up if you haven’t already done so.  This might mean you do not need to contact us at all, it’s easy to use and you can find out more information here: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app

Our Health Navigation team can also support you in using the NHS App, just ask at the main desk. They may arrange a more suitable time to support you if it is busy when you arrive.

THIS MIGHT HELP YOU KNOW HOW TO BEST CONTACT US:
