Blood Tests
If you have been asked by one of our clinical team to have a blood test, you should speak to a member of our Reception Team to arrange this.
The Receptionist will be able to advise you of the next available appointment – we hold Open Surgeries for blood tests most mornings and also offer some pre-bookable appointments.
Please be aware that most blood tests need to be carried out in the morning due to courier collection times.
Non-urgent advice: Test Results
If you have been asked to ring the practice to find the results of your investigatory tests please be aware that these are only available after 2:00 p.m, at least five working days after the test was carried out.
Repeat Tests
There may be occasions when you are asked to provide a repeat sample for investigatory tests, this does not mean there is cause for concern. There are various reasons why repeat samples may be required including:
- Original results inconclusive
- Original sample too small
- Original sample labelled incorrectly
A member of our team will be able to advise you of the reason why a repeat has been requested.
