If you have been asked by one of our clinical team to have a blood test you should speak to a member of our Health Navigation Team to arrange this.
The Health Navigator will be able to advise you of the next available appointment. Please be aware that most blood tests need to be carried out in the morning due to courier collection times.
If you have been asked to ring the practice to find the results of your investigatory tests please be aware that these are only available after 2pm, at least five working days after the test was carried out.
There may be occasions when you are asked to provide a repeat sample for investigatory tests, this does not mean there is cause for concern. There are various reasons why repeat samples may be required including:
- Original results inconclusive
- Original sample too small
- Original sample labelled incorrectly
A member of our team will be able to advise you of the reason why a repeat has been requested.
