Marmalade Trust

The Marmalade trust are taking new service user referrals for both the Marmalade Christmas Cheer project and for the Marmalade Companions project for over 50’s who are experiencing loneliness in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

These can be self-referred or if you know someone experiencing loneliness, you can refer them.

Christmas Cheer 2021 – Bringing joy and companionship to people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day

Marmalade Companions – Supporting Marmalade members to make new connections and find social activity in their local community.

The closing date for Christmas Cheer applications is 31st October 2021 and for Marmalade Companions is 8th November 2021.

National Blood Tubes Shortage

We are affected by the current national shortage of blood tubes like other GP practices. In order to continue blood tests for people with the greatest clinical need, we are delaying routine and non-urgent blood tests in line with national guidance.

If you have an appointment booked in the next week we will need to cancel this. Your appointment will be rescheduled once the situation is resolved.

We will be providing regular updates on our website, which we encourage you to check for the latest info.

Please don’t contact us – we will be in touch with you when appointments can be rescheduled.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Data Opt Outs

  • Your GP holds your health record, for use by us and other parts of the NHS for your direct care.
  • NHS Digital also uses some of this data for research, planning, and improving the NHS for everyone.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information Videos

These videos address a range of commonly asked questions and concerns related to the vaccine:

Supply of Vaccination

Supplies of first dose COVID-19 vaccine are low at the moment, so we may not be able to book your vaccination appointment immediately.

Please be assured that as soon as we have received supply, and once your age cohort becomes open, we will be in touch with you to book your vaccination.

We ask that you please bear with us and know that we are working tirelessly to vaccinate people as quickly as possible using every potential slot and every dose of vaccine as soon as we receive it.
