If you contact us between 8.00am and 10.30am requesting an appointment for the same day the doctor will call you back to triage the urgency of your need.
When you speak to a member of our Reception team they will ask for details of your current medical concerns – whilst you are not obliged to provide this information it will assist our medical team in managing calls affectively.
The doctor will give you an appointment that day at a specified time or you will be offered an appointment on another day.
There are 3 specially trained Nurses at Montpelier who run Minor Illness Clinics along side the GP on call. These nurses are able to diagnose and treat many minor ailments, for example sore throats, chest infections, urine infections, eczema skin problems. If no treatment is needed then they can give the appropriate advice. You may be booked into these clinics by the on call GP or receptionist.
If you need to see someone urgently outside of these arrangements when the surgery is open, there is always a doctor on call to help you.
